Graciousness

My meaning of graciousness is that i will not be angered so easily even though people angers me or being impolite.some acts of graciousness can be letting seats to old people,or pregnant womens or saying "please","excuse me" or "thank you" to people.the only act of graciousness i have done is letting seats to an old man before.as graciousness leads to more people liking you,not hating you and you can feel good being gracious too.no,as i don't see much people in singapore saying magic words or being kind.we can make anderson pupils be more gracious by supporting them,like the one we have last week,the ones involving the ice cream sticks.yes,i like the "magical dust of kindness" project,as being polite to other people won't hurt and it makes other people's day happier.i have benefitted by being alittle more polite,like saying "thank you" or "excuse me" more often.

Yes,just my name and age.name and age may be shared while address or the school you go to may not.the dangers of sharing certain personal informations may harm us.i would think whether it is alright to share certain informations or not.i would reject them and give fake reasons so if they asked whether i wanted to go out again,they will know i can't.i protect myself by not giving personl informations so easily unless i know he/she can be trusted.

Cyber wellness-inappropriate content

Maybe just those websites that says that you can win or get stuff with just doing stuff in the website.i saw that you can win stuff that costs alot but you win it for free.i usually close them cause its kinda impossible.no,i have'nt seen any of my friends see inappropriate contents.my advice to my friends would be:close the window if you seen a inappropriate content and tell a adult/parent or teacher.

Cyber addiction

Normally i spend 2-3hours a day on the computer.no,i'm not addicted as thinking of homework makes me stop to do them!no,i can now do blog posts and search stuff with my computer now.my mum will nag when i play too long,so i think i won't be needing to prevent it myself!i would advice my friends to focus on their studies!cyber addiction may lead to a crushed future!:P

Effects of preventive measures on pupils

I think the preventive measures helps alot,as taking temperature warns us if one pupil have high fever,it may just be H1N1,and no assembly in the hall helps prevent it from spreading if one pupil have H1N1.no activities of preventing H1N1 is affecting me as its no trouble at all!i agree the school is less interesting by like 5%,cause no assembly makes school's fridays a little boring.no,it does'nt affect the realtion between me and my friends,teachers,we still is as good as before.i catch up with some homework and relaxation with my free time.activities outside school is not affected at all!:)

Reflections of SA1 performance

Yes,all the tests have been fair.its fair as it tested us on what we have learnt until the SA1 exam.no,i don't really understand some of the maths topics and science,English.yes,math and science remedial is very useful as it explains alot of things i do not know,plus,the teacher moves slowly so that we will not be confused.he is very kind too!(Mr Alan tan)if i have tuition at home,i don't think it will help,we already have homework and remedial/supplementary lessons,tuition will be more stressful.i will listen attentively in class after my results in SA1.creating more fun and useful remedial/supplementarys will help ALOT.

influenza A H1N1

influenza A H1N1 is a disease that can spread very easy,but is also very dangerous.it spreads by people sneezing or spitting on the floor,and then flows through the air and then spreads to us.Singapore,Malaysia,Thailand,Philippines and many other countries in Asia caught the spread of H1N1.people can prevent the spread of this disease by being more hygienic.yes,taking of temperature is effective as we will be able to know whether one person has caught H1N1 as fever is one of the syn toms too.Singapore has a large stores of medicine to sell when H1N1 has gotten too strong.Singapore is also spending billions to study H1N1.i am being more hygienic to help prevent the spread of H1N1.

Classroom cleanness

No,cause the floor is dirty and there are lots of little rubbish on the floor.as a clean classroom acts as a more peaceful and clean classroom to study in.i can keep the classroom clean by not throwing rubbish on the floor and help pick up rubbish if i see some on the floor.i have done no cleaning activity.:P

Kindness

Kindness mean to be nice to other people,like not to be rude to other people and helping people when needed.yes,its important to be kind as people will like you and you will have more friends!we can show kindness by letting old or pregnant people our seats in the MRT.i have ever let an old man seat on my seat on a bus.i felt very proud,but my legs is quite tired too...i have done no other act of kindness in school or outside school.i think we can help promote the message of kindness by telling my friends off when they act rude or not nice.

healthy eating

we have to eat a balanced diet including 2 servings of vegetables and fruits.it is important to eat a healthy diet as

earth hour

earth hour is the day when in a hour all lights and fans or anything that use up electricity.earth hour is held at march 26.people are organizing this event to stop global warming,everyone will turn off their electrical supply.although we can't watch TV or play computer games we still can play catching and soccer or ping pong!the earth is facing a solar flare that will happen in 2012.if that happens technology will explode and disrupted for 10years,it will last for a 9minutes.we can reduce,reuse and recycle so that global warming will stop and perhaps can stop the solar flare.

sports and school sports day

i attended the sports day event and i found it fun as i saw many of my friends running and when the race hasn't started i chatted with my friends happily.i think the most interesting part of the event is the bouncing ball thing as people who did not take part can have a little fun and contribute to the house too!the most uninteresting part is waiting to be dismissed.yes,engaging in sports is important as it can boost our morale and have fun in the same time.i only engage sports in P.E as there are homework everyday and i have to stay back for everyday except Thursday.sports can help us keep fit and healthy and also encourage students to like sports.if i was the principal of the school i will get more sports equipment and put more activities up.bye!

fire safety

yes,i have experienced a fire break out just at my block!i wasn't sure what really happen because i am outside when i return home i saw a firetruck at the street that house was burnt black!luckily no one was injured.well i would be nervous and scared but i think i would call 995 because if the fire got more worse my house will be burnt down!the cause of fires can be by forgetting to turn off the gas and sometimes suicide.i can remember to turn off all the gas and prevent cooking on my own.yes i think our pupils is conscious of fire safety because they know what to do when there's a fire.i would like to introduce a field trip to civil defence HQ as it is fun so students will remember fire safety.

reading

I think the school gets students to read every morning is because they want us to improve our languages.i don't really like it because i feel like the teachers and prefects are forcing us to read and whenever we forgot to bring our books we will be punished.i like to read simpler books,thick books like twilight take agest to read but i know that those kinds of books improve my English more so i sometimes read them i also like to read comics as they help me to relax.yes,i think reading will help me on some of my school work like compo i can use the new words i learn and make my compo interesting.the school can organise a competition for reading the pupil with most books borrowed will win a prize like free bowl of noodle at noodle stall voucher.they will start to have an interest in reading but some may be just borrowing and returning they won't learn this way but if this is the way they choose who can stop them?i would recommend a book called grossE adventures by Annie auerbach,the book is about two brothers stinky and Stan who is good at science they have an interest in science and is very creative they are also very funny but they have one weakness stinky farts softly but smelly while Stan farts loudly but not so smelly! :D

activities outside school

nothing.no,i think pupils should not have more work outside school as in school there already has lots of activities,it is very stressful too.

passion for learning

passion for learning means interest in learning.yes,if we don't have the passion for learning we will be too lazy to learn.no.no,as I'm just trying to past my exams.i can read more interesting but educational books.

target setting

the purpose for target setting is to make us want to work for better marks.yes,as we will strive for our goal.my teachers help me set it.To achieve my targets from now on I will spend less time on TV and computer.they help by helping me on my homework sometimes.my teachers will explain the questions i don't know.

festival

the festival I'm celebrating is Chinese new year.i celebrated Chinese new year because I'm Chinese.i celebrate it by eating steamboat.no,as each race celebrate their own festivals.we can try to understand their religion and language.

total defence
